Well, I can believe LSU I guess, but would have thought A&M more likely.
According to Randy Newman's song "Rednecks" on his fabulous "Good Old Boys" album of 1974, is where "... college men from LSU, went in dumb, come out dumb, too...." So, considering the source I think we can safely ignore this finding.

Actually it is Al Gore's fault!! If he had not invented the internet,the LSU folks would still be using pencil and paper and we would be inundated with bacteria in Wisconsin and Minnesota.---Goose
