Sarah Palin -- U.S. Senator?

I just had the most frightening thought of my entire life.

What if Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, is found guilty? His case is about to go to the jury.

Stevens is up for re-election and obviously it’s too late to nominate someone else. His name will stay on the November ballot.

He could be re-elected – as he has been for 40 years – and then have to step down. Gov. Sarah Palin could then nominate herself to fill the vacant seat when she and McCain lose the presidential election.

Oh noooo. Say it ain’t so!

Don't even type such thoughts.

How can Alaska be blue and have so many "r's"?

Won't happen. The Dem is going to win the Senate up there unless things turn around drastically.

That will give them 60.

That is the real scary part.

Oh, let her be a senator so she can be as ignorant and inexperienced as her state's US senator as Barack Obama was his state's US senator.

Counting down to January and the first days of the Failed Obama Presidency.

Hmmmm...interesting comments. My first concrete thought was, "A lot better an Alaskan U.S. senator than a U.S. veep!"
