Thank you, Gov. Palin

Sarah Palin is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Republicans spent more getting her pretty than they first admitted. Gov. Palin’s traveling makeup artist was paid $68,400 and her hair stylist received more than $42,000 for roughly two months of work, according to a new campaign finance report filed late Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.

That’s a lot of lipstick and stuff. Even for a hockey mom.

The $150,000 clothing tab was also amended. Add another $30,000 to the wardrobe allowance. Two months of clothes, nearly $200,000. Joy.

Palin protests that the clothes will be returned. What? I didn’t know Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus were in the rental business. That’s cheating. It abuses the liberal return policies of several high end retail stores.

And it begs the question: have the clothes been returned?

Meanwhile, thank you, Gov. Palin. This post election period has been difficult for political junkies. It’s comforting to know we can count on you for entertainment.

I can barely wait until 2012.

I suspect Alaskans or not unlike Texans. Remember what happened to Ann Richards when she became a national figure as governor. The next election she found her self our of office.

Dumb me;I thought the election was over. I had even relented to give the traditional 100 days grace period of a new President. Now I see that is an idea only for Republicans. O.K. Gloves off!!
Palin still has more dedication to our country than Obama and
Biden combined. The sad part is that the Dems will keep hammering her until 2012 to try and completely destroy any vestige of having a good and proper lady run for the residency. That being said, She doesn't have a prayer of a chance to get the nomination unless she steps up a grade or two from Governor of Alaska to a higher profile job.oo bad she doesn't have a peanut brain like Franken in Minnesota to challenge first.--Goose

Ching CHING! It would have "suited" me -- and probably not hurt the Republican "cause" much, either -- if they had spent the entire war chest on gussying up Palin.

I will be glad to see this kind of excess go away, in politics and in the other conspicuous consumption which has in part caused the economic trouble this country is in. A comely woman, and I wonder how much support she would have garnered if she looked like Ma Kettle. And I hope the Obamas don't redecorate the White House, needlessly costing the public hundred$ of thou$and$ again.
