Truck gardening made easy

The truck garden has produced six-foot tall tomato plants. But no trucks as yet. We named the project Succotash Hill.

I love gardening. Have nice flower gardens, but no space for veggies. Twenty years ago I had a small ranch and grew a garden there. Had 46 rows that were 120 ft. long. Grew corn, green beans, blackeyed peas, cream peas, tomatoes (4 rows),butter beans, pinto beans and okra. Also had a few melons we grew for the coyotes. LOL

Of course, the bottom row of ears on the corn was for the raccoons.

The deer didn't bother much.

Quit after being bitten on the middle finger by a rattlesnake that was 3 1/2 feet up in the fence
where the green beans were. Fortunately, he only got one fang in and didn't inject any venom. But I tore down the bean fence with a hoe when killing the snake.

You had a close call. We are wary of copperheads up here. But I'm told they taste like chicken.

You're not in Minnesota anymore!!!
Just came in and George's garden is in the shriveling stage. It is weary of the heat....like all of us.
