When my Sis and I were growing up in Austin during the 1940s, we would ride our bikes on Saturdays over to the top of the hill where 24th Street turns into Windsor Road. We would lay our bikes up agaist a rock wall there and cathch the bus downtown to see the matinees at the State or Paramount theators on Congress Ave. We started this when I was 9 and she was 8. We were never bothered, and our bikes were always there when we returned a few hours later.<BR/><BR/>Try doing that now.
