I've never known a military man (or woman) who was pro-war. They don't like war. At all. They know the horror of war. Only a fool is not anti-war. But we Americans fight when we have to, and we fight hard. And we win. God bless America. God bless Texas.

So now we are a bit off subject but didn't a "liberal Democrat" successfully prosecute the last World War and at the same time approve the development of the most terrible of weapons? Didn't a "liberal Democrat" become the first on the planet to pull the trigger on that weapon? Didn't a couple of "liberal Democrats", one a bona fide war hero, ensnare us in the mire of Viet Nam? Didn't a conservative Republican bug out of that altercation without a "win"?

On what basis does anyone suppose that a patriotic "liberal Democrat" is unable or unwilling to defend this nation when necessary? Emphasis on necessary.

I enlisted in 1969. To be clear, I was never sent to Southeast Asia, though I certainly would have gone if assigned.
